How much does senior living cost in Minnesota, and what is included?
The cost of senior living varies widely based on the level of care, the location, the size of the apartment, and the specific services provided. Independent living costs range from $1,500 to over $7,000 per month. Assisted living costs range from $3,600 to more than $8,000. And memory care costs range from $4,600 to $10,000.
The monthly cost generally includes rent, utilities, maintenance, housekeeping, scheduled transportation, and social programming.
Is the cost of senior living covered by Medicare or Medicaid in Minnesota?
Medicare generally does not cover the cost of long-term senior living. Minnesota Medicaid (Medical Assistance) may pay for assisted living or nursing home care. We can help you discuss your financing options and find a community that’s affordable for your family.
